هدف و زمینه: در بین بیماری‌های مزمن دوران کودکی، سرطان شیوع زیادی داشته و علاوه‌بر زندگی کودک، خانواده را نیز درگیر می‌سازد. مطالعهٔ حاضر با هدف تعیین تأثیر حمایت اجتماعی و راهبردهای مقابله‌ای بر بهزیستی روانی مادران کودکان مبتلا به سرطان انجام شد. 
روش‌بررسی: این پژوهش به‌روش توصیفی و از نوع همبستگی بود. مطالعهٔ حاضر روی ۹۶ نفر از مادران دارای یک‌کودک ۱تا۷ساله مبتلا به سرطان که توانایی تکمیل پرسشنامه را داشتند و جهت پیگیری‌های درمانی به بیمارستان‌های حضرت علی‌اصغر(ع) و مفید و مرکز طبی کودکان تهران در سال ۱۳۹۴ مراجعه کردند، به‌روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی انجام پذیرفت. داده‌ها با استفاده از پرسشنامه‌های بهزیستی روان‌شناختی ریف (۱۹۹۵) و حمایت اجتماعی فیلیپس (۱۹۸۶) و راهبردهای مقابله‌ای لازاروس (۱۹۷۴) جمع‌آوری شد. تجزیه‌وتحلیل نتایج با آزمون‌های همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون چند‌گانه صورت گرفت. 
یافته‌ها: نتایج حاصل از آزمون‌های همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون چندگانهٔ خطی، حاکی‌از تأثیر مستقیم و معنادار حمایت اجتماعی و سبک مقابله‌ای مسئله‌مدار بر بهزیستی روان‌شناختی مادران کودکان مبتلا به سرطان بود (۰٫۰۰۱>p). میزان همبستگی برای حمایت اجتماعی ۰٫۶۴ و برای سبک مقابلهٔ مسئله‌مدار ۰٫۶۸ به‌دست آمد. همچنین نتایج نشان داد که حمایت اجتماعی و سبک مقابله‌ای مسئله‌مدار تقریباً ۵۵ درصد از واریانس بهزیستی روان‌شناختی را تبیین می‌کند؛ درحالی‌که سبک مقابله‌ای هیجان‌مدار قادر به تبیین بهزیستی روان‌شناختی مادران نیست. 
نتیجه‌گیری: بر‌اساس یافته‌های پژوهش راهبردهای مقابله‌ای و حمایت اجتماعی بر بهزیستی روان‌شناختی مادران کودکان مبتلا به سرطان تأثیر دارد.
