زمینه و هدف: مشکلات انگیزشی و یادگیری و تحصیلی و نیز محیط‌های خانوادگی نامساعد افراد را درمعرض خطر مشکلات سلامت و بهزیستی قرار می‌دهد. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تبیین اثر وضعیت خانوادگی بر بهزیستی جامع دانشجویان براساس نقش میانجیگر انگیزش تحصیلی انجام شد.
روش‌بررسی: روش پژوهش توصیفی از نوع همبستگی و جامعهٔ آماری شامل تمام دانشجویان دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحدهای تهران در سال تحصیلی ۹۶-۱۳۹۵ بود که از میان آن‌ها ۳۱۵ نفر به‌روش نمونه‌برداری چندمرحله‌ای انتخاب شدند. ابزار پژوهش مقیاس بهزیستی جامع (کیز و همکاران، ۲۰۰۲) و مقیاس انگیزش تحصیلی (والرند و همکاران، ۱۹۹۲) و پرسشنامهٔ وضعیت خانواده (بیوورز و همکاران، ۱۹۸۵) بود. برای تحلیل داده‌ها از روش مدل‌یابی معادلات ساختاری و نرم‌افزار ایموس و بیشینهٔ برآورد احتمال و نیز سطح معناداری ۰٫۰۵ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که انگیزش تحصیلی درونی اثر وضعیت خانوادگی را بر بهزیستی جامع به‌صورت مثبت میانجیگری کرده (۰٫۰۰۱>p، ۰٫۲۱۰۹=β) و انگیزش تحصیلی بیرونی اثر وضعیت خانوادگی را بر بهزیستی جامع به‌طور منفی میانجیگری (۰٫۰۰۱>p، ۰٫۰۵۳۴-=β) می‌کند.
نتیجه‌گیری: براساس یافته‌های این پژوهش چنین به‌نظر می‌رسد که افراد دارای وضعیت خانوادگی مطلوب از فرصت و امکانات بیشتری برای خودمختاری، خودبیانگری، خودآگاهی، خودگردانی و خودافزایی برخوردار بوده که این سازه‌های روان‌شناختی از شاخص‌های انگیزش درونی است و بر عملکرد تحصیلی و بهزیستی جامع فرد تأثیر می‌گذارد.
