زمینه و هدف: افرادی که در مراکز بهزیستی زندگی می‌کنند به‌طور معمول دارای تجربهٔ سلامت روانی کمتری درمقایسه با افراد عادی هستند. هدف از مطالعهٔ حاضر اثربخشی درمان روان‌پویشی کوتاه‌مدت فشرده بر افسردگی و اضطراب نوجوانان بی‌سرپرست ساکن در مراکز سازمان بهزیستی بود.
روش‌بررسی: این پژوهش از نوع شبه‌آزمایشی بود که با طرح پژوهشی پیش‌آزمون-پس‌آزمون با گروه گواه انجام گرفت. جامعهٔ آماری در این پژوهش تمامی نوجوانان پسر ساکن در مراکز بهزیستی فیاض‌بخش و شهید قدوسی در سال ۹۷-۱۳۹۶ در تهران بودند. از بین آن‌ها سی نفر به‌صورت دردسترس انتخاب شده و در دو گروه گواه و آزمایش به‌طور تصادفی تخصیص یافتند. نمونه‌گیری در این تحقیق به‌روش دردسترس بود. جهت جمع‌آوری اطلاعات از پرسشنامهٔ افسردگی بک ۲ (۱۹۷۲) و پرسشنامهٔ اضطراب بک (۱۹۹۰) استفاده شد. مداخلهٔ روان‌پویشی کوتاه‌مدت بیست جلسهٔ ۶۰دقیقه‌ای براساس پروتکل دوانلو ( ۱۹۹۵) صورت گرفت. برای تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها از تحلیل کوواریانس چندمتغیره با نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخهٔ ۲۴ در سطح معناداری ۰٫۰۵ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج تحلیل کوواریانس چندمتغیره نشان داد که درمان روان‌پویشی کوتاه‌مدت باعث کاهش اکثر مؤلفه‌های افسردگی (۰٫۰۱۸=p) و اضطراب (۰٫۰۱۳=p) در پس‌آزمون گروه آزمایش شده است.
نتیجه‌گیری: باتوجه به نتایج به‌دست‌آمده روان‌پویشی کوتاه‌مدت فشرده می‌تواند برای ارتقای سلامتی در نوجوانان بی‌سرپرست استفاده شود.
