زمینه و هدف: ﺳﻼﻣﺖ روان یکی از مؤﻟﻔـﻪﻫـﺎی ﻣﻬـﻢ ﻛﻴﻔﻴﺖ زندگی ‌است که مادران دارای کودک مبتلا به اختلال جسمی-حرکتی، مشکلات مربوط به سلامت روان ازجمله پرخاشگری را بیشتر تجربه می‌کنند؛ ازاین‌رو پژوهش حاضر با هدف تأثیر آموزش یوگا و خودشفقتی بر پرخاشگری مادرانِ کودکان دارای اختلال جسمی-حرکتی انجام شد.
روش‌بررسی: تحقیق حاضر از نوع نیمه‌تجربی با طرح پیش‌آزمون-پس‌آزمون و گروه کنترل بود. شرکت‌کنندگان پژوهش چهل نفر مادر ۱۸تا۴۰ساله دارای فرزند با مشکلات جسمی-حرکتی شهر اصفهان بودند که به‌صورت تصادفی در چهار گروه ده‌نفری (گروه تجربیِ یک مداخلات آموزش خودشفقتی (۸ جلسه)، گروه تجربیِ دو تمرینات یوگا (۲۴ جلسه)، گروه تجربیِ سه آموزش خودشفقتی و تمرینات یوگا به‌صورت ترکیبی، یک‌گروه کنترل) قرار گرفتند. ابزار تحقیق شامل مقیاس خودشفقتی نف (۲۰۰۳) و پرسشنامهٔ پرخاشگری آیزنگ و گلن ویلسون (۱۹۷۵) بود. از آنالیز کوواریانس جهت تحلیل داده‌ها در سطح معناداری ۰٫۰۵ استفاده شد. 
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که میزان پرخاشگری مادران در گروه یوگا (۰٫۰۱۳=p) و همچنین گروه خودشفقتی (۰٫۰۰۹=p) درمقایسه با گروه کنترل به‌طور معناداری کاهش پیدا کرده است؛ ولی در گروه ترکیبی یوگا و خودشفقتی درمقایسه با گروه کنترل تفاوت معناداری مشاهده نشد. 
نتیجه‌گیری: مادران از ارکان مهم‌تر خانواده و جامعه هستند و سهم بزرگی در رشد و پرورش فرزندان دارند؛ بنابراین با کاهش پرخاشگری و افزایش خودشفقتی در مادران توسط تمرینات یوگا و خودشفقتی می‌توان کیفیت زندگی آنان را بهبود بخشید و فضای خانواده را گرم و صمیمی‌تر کرد.
