زمینه و هدف: کمبود خودآگاهی‌ هیجانی در مبتلایان به اختلال‌های شخصیت باعث می‌شود به‌ندرت اقدام به درمان نمایند و به علل ثانوی برآمده از اختلال‌های شخصیت توجه کنند. از ‌طرف‌ دیگر کمبود شفقت‌ به خود در این مبتلایان، موجب شکل‌گیری پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی توأمان این ‌دو عامل در پیش‌بینی نمرات اختلال‌های شخصیت شد.
روش‌بررسی: این پژوهش توصیفی از نوع همبستگی بود. جامعهٔ آماری را مبتلایان به اختلال‌ شخصیت در تهران تشکیل دادند که در سال ۱۳۹۸ و ابتدای سال ۱۳۹۹ به ‌یکی از مراکز خدمات روان‌شناختی مراجعه کردند. از میان آن‌ها نمونه‌ای ۲۰۰نفره به‌صورت نمونه‌گیری دردسترس انتخاب شد. ابزارهای پژوهش شامل پرسشنامۀ چند‌محوری بالینی میلون- ویرایش سوم (میلون، ۱۹۹۴)، مقیاس خودتأملی و بینش (گرنت و همکاران، ۲۰۰۲) و مقیاس شفقت‌ به خود (نِف، ۲۰۰۳) بود. برای تحلیل داده‌ها از ضریب همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون خطی چندگانه به‌وسیلۀ نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخهٔ ۲۴ با سطح معناداری ۰٫۰۵ استفاده شد. 
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد خودآگاهی‌ هیجانی و شفقت ‌به خود به‌صورت توأمان توان پیش‌بینی اختلال‌های شخصیت اسکیزوئید (خودآگاهی هیجانی ۰٫۰۰۷=p، شفقت به خود ۰٫۰۱۴=p)، نمایشی (خودآگاهی هیجانی ۰٫۰۱۰=p، شفقت به خود ۰٫۰۱۱=p)، و وسواسی-جبری (خودآگاهی هیجانی ۰٫۰۲۶=p، شفقت به خود ۰٫۰۰۵=p) را داشت؛ همچنین شفقت به خود به‌تنهایی توان پیش‌بینی اختلال‌های شخصیت اسکیزوتایپال (۰٫۰۰۶=p)، مرزی (۰٫۰۲۲=p) و گروه اختلال‌های شخصیت دیگر (۰٫۰۰۱>p) را داشت.
نتیجه‌گیری: سطح کم خودآگاهی‌ هیجانی و همچنین سطح کم شفقت‌ به خود به‌صورت توأمان از عواملی هستند که می‌توانند بستری برای ظهور اختلال‌ شخصیت اسکیزوئید باشند و نمرات این اختلال شخصیت را پیش‌بینی کنند، اما این رابطه دربارۀ اختلال‌های شخصیت نمایشی و وسواسی-جبری معکوس بود که ناشی از پاسخگونبودن دقیق شرکت‌کنندگان در پژوهش به پرسشنامه‌ها و تمایل به بی‌نقص نشان دادن خود بود. همچنین شفقت به خود می‌تواند نمرات اختلال‌های شخصیت اسکیزوتایپال، مرزی و گروه اختلال‌های شخصیت دیگر را پیش‌بینی کند و هرچه میزان شفقت به خود کمتر باشد، نمرات این اختلال‌های شخصیت بیشتر است.
