زمینه و هدف: سندرم ‌پیش‌ از قاعدگی تجربهٔ برخی نشانگان جسمانی، روانی و رفتاری است که در برخی افراد این علائم بسیار ناتوان‌کننده است و با عملکرد اجتماعی، تحصیلی و روابط خانوادگی آنان تداخل می‌یابد؛ بنابراین هدف از پژوهش حاضر ارائهٔ مدل علّی سندرم پیش از قاعدگی در دختران نوجوان بود.
روش‌بررسی: روش پژوهش حاضر همبستگی با استفاده از مدل‌سازی تحلیل مسیر بود. جامعهٔ ‌آماری را تمامی دختران نوجوان شهرستان کرمانشاه با دامنهٔ سنی ۱۳تا۱۸ سال در سال ۱۳۹۹ تشکیل دادند. نمونهٔ پژوهش شامل ۳۸۱ نفر از این دختران نوجوان بود که به‌روش دردسترس انتخاب شدند. تعدادی از پاسخ‌نامه‌ها به‌علت داده‌های پرت یا تکمیل‌نکردن پرسشنامه‌ها کنار گذاشته شد و درمجموع پاسخ‌نامه‌های ۳۷۲ نفر تحلیل شد. برای جمع‌آوری داده‌ها، پرسشنامهٔ غربالگری قبل از قاعدگی استینر (استینر و همکاران، ۲۰۰۳)، پرسشنامهٔ نگرش به قاعدگی (بروکس-گان و رابل، ۱۹۸۰)، مقیاس ارزیابی حمایت ‌اجتماعی (واکس و همکاران، ۱۹۸۶)، پرسشنامهٔ اضطراب‌ بک (بک‌ و ‌استیر، ۱۹۹۰) و پرسشنامهٔ استرس‌ زندگی دانشجویی (گادزلا، ۱۹۹۱) به‌کار رفت. به‌منظور تجزیه‌و‌تحلیل داده‌ها از نرم‌افزارهای SPSS نسخۀ ۲۵ و AMOS نسخۀ ۲۳ استفاده‌ شد. سطح‌ معناداری ۰٫۰۵ در نظر گرفته شد.
یافته‌ها: از میان متغیرهای پژوهش، اضطراب اثر کل بیشتری بر سندرم پیش از قاعدگی داشت (۰٫۰۰۱>p و ۰٫۴۰۴=β). متغیر نگرش به قاعدگی توانست رابطه‌ٔ بین سندرم پیش از قاعدگی را با حمایت اجتماعی (۰٫۰۰۱>p و ۰٫۰۵۵-=β)، اضطراب (۰٫۰۰۱>p ,۰٫۰۳۷=β)، استرس تحصیلی (۰٫۰۰۱>p و ۰٫۰۴۴=β) و طول مدت قاعدگی (۰٫۰۰۱>p و ۰٫۰۵۰-=β) میانجیگری کند. شاخص‌های نکویی‌ برازش نشان داد، متغیر نگرش‌ ‌به ‌قاعدگی رابطه‌ٔ بین سندرم‌ پیش‌ از قاعدگی را با حمایت‌ اجتماعی، اضطراب، استرس ‌تحصیلی و طول‌ مدت ‌قاعدگی میانجیگری می‌کند (۰٫۹۱۴=AGFI و ۰٫۰۲۷=RMSEA).
نتیجه‌گیری: براساس نتایج پژوهش، حمایت اجتماعی، اضطراب، استرس‌ تحصیلی و طول‌ مدت ‌قاعدگی با نقش میانجی سندرم‌ پیش ‌از قاعدگی می‌تواند مدل مطلوبی برای تبیین سندرم ‌پیش ‌از قاعدگی باشند.
