Objectives: The present study Effect of body image using metacognition strategies of social psychological adjustment Isfahan low-vision students were enrolled in schools for the blind.

Methods: This quasi-experimental study with pretest and posttest design with a control group.The study population consisted of low-vision students in eighth grade boys six areas of Isfahan was the 2015-2016 academic year. Multistage random cluster sampling was carried out; then sampled 30 randomly divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group for 10 sessions of body image were using metacognitive strategies while the control group did not receive any training. In this research, California social adjustment questionnaire, body image and body image education program has been using metacognition strategies. Data were analyzed using SPSS statistical software was used.

 Results: The results showed that the social adaptation in the pre-intervention and post-intervention was significantly different (p<0.001). As well as between the intervention group and the control group was significantly different (p<0.001).

Conclusion: Body image training sessions using metacognition strategies to promote social adjustment in the group have been tested.
