Abstract
Background and Objective: The Over diagnostic of Emotion Regulation has been considered as one of the effective treatments based on the common mechanisms of therapeutic interventions. Considering the prevalence of Multiple Sclerosis, the present study aims to investigate the effectiveness of over diagnostic group therapy based on emotion regulation on cognitive flexibility and sleep quality in patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
Methods: The method of this study was Quasi-experimental with the control group. The statistical population was made up of all the patients with Multiple Sclerosis who are members of the association of Jahromcity, and the statistical sample was 30 people after considering the entry criteria , matching and determining their number. These numbers were placed in two equal groups of 15 people completely randomly. The Cognitive Flexibility Dennis & Vander Wal, and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index were used to collect data. The reliability of the questionnaires was obtained using Cronbach alpha coefficient of 0.80 and 0.79 respectively. Data were analyzed methods of analysis of covariance in SPSS-25 software.
Findings: The results of covariance showed that there is difference in the post-test period of Cognitive Flexibility and sleep quality in control and experiment group.
Conclusions: The over diagnostic Group Therapy can help people with Multiple Sclerosis to increase their Cognitive Flexibility and improve their Sleep quality.
