هدف: افراد مبتلا به اسکیزوفرنیا به‌دلیل اختلال در عملکرد اجتماعی دچار نقصان در مهارت‌های بین فردی و اجتماعی می‌شوند. یکی از عوامل مؤثر در عملکرد اجتماعی توانایی بازشناسی چهره است. هدف از این مطالعه بررسی ارتباط بازشناسی هیجانی چهره با عملکرد اجتماعی مبتلایان مرد اسکیزوفرنی و مقایسهٔ آن با گروه همسان سالم بود.
روش‌بررسی: روش این مطالعه توصیفی-تحلیلی و مقایسه‌ای است. ۲۰ فرد سالم و ۲۰ مبتلا به اسکیزوفرنیای همسان از نظر سن، جنس و تحصیلات از نظر توانایی تطابق و نامیدن هیجانی چهره با آزمون محقق‌ساخته و مهارت‌های ارتباطی، توسط پرسشنامهٔ مهارت‌های ارتباطی و تعاملیAssessment of Communication and Interaction Skills (ACIS) ارزیابی شدند. نمونه‌گیری در بیماران ساکن مرکز توانبخشی طلوع و خانه‌های حمایتی تهران به‌صورت سرشماری و در افراد سالم به‌روش در دسترس بود.
یافته‌ها: دو گروه از نظر امتیاز مهارت‌های ارتباطی و تعاملی (۰٫۰۵۰=p)، نامیدن چهره‌های عصبانی (۰٫۰۲۱=p)، تعداد و زمان واکنش تصاویر با هیجان متفاوت (۰٫۰۰۳=p) و (۰٫۰۰۱=p) و زمان واکنش تصاویر با هیجان یکسان دارای تفاوت معناداری بودند (۰٫۰۵۰=p). همچنین ارتباط معناداری بین نامیدن چهره‌های خوشحال با مهارت‌های ارتباطی و تعاملی در گروه بیمار (۰٫۰۵۰=p)، بین تعداد تصاویر با هیجان متفاوت با بُعد مبادلهٔ اطلاعات در گروه سالم (۰٫۰۴۷=p) و بین زمان واکنش تصاویر با هیجان متفاوت با بُعد مبادلهٔ اطلاعات در گروه بیمار (۰٫۰۱۸=p) مشاهده شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: با‌توجه به اینکه تنها در چند مورد، بازشناسی هیجانی چهره با مهارت‌های ارتباطی و تعاملی در بیماران اسکیزوفرنیا مرتبط بود، لذا به بررسی عمیق‌تر و وسیع‌تر نیاز دارد.
