زمینه و هدف: توجه انتخابی و سرعت پردازش محرک‌های دیداری از جمله پردازش‌های شناختی مهم در درک گفتار شنیداری-دیداری است. پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین اثربخشی بازی‌های رایانه‌ای بر توجه انتخابی و سرعت پردازش محرک‌های دیداری دانش‌آموزان ناشنوا انجام گرفت.
روش‌بررسی: در این پژوهش از طرح نیمه‌آزمایشی با گروه آزمایش و کنترل همراه با پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون استفاده گردید. تعداد ۳۰ نفر (۱۴دختر و ۱۶ پسر) دانش‌آموز ناشنوای ۷-۱۰ سال به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شده و با همتاسازی به دو گروه آزمایش و کنترل تقسیم شدند. هر گروه شامل ۷ دختر و ۸ پسر بود. ابزار این پژوهش شامل آزمون عملکرد پیوسته (CPT) و مجموعهٔ بازی‌های رایانه‌ای (شامل ۱۴ بازی اینترنتی هماهنگی چشم و دست) بود. گروه آزمایش در ۲۰ جلسهٔ ۵۰ دقیقه‌ای انفرادی بازی‌های رایانه‌ای هفته‌ای دو بار و به‌مدت ۱۰ هفته شرکت کردند. داده‌های جمع‌آوری شده با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخهٔ ۲۱ و به روش تحلیل کوواریانس (ANCOVA) تحلیل شدند. 
یافته‌ها: گروه آزمایش درمقایسه با گروه کنترل، افزایش معناداری در نمرات توجه انتخابی (۰٫۰۰۱>p) و سرعت پردازش محرک‌های دیداری (۰٫۰۰۶=p) داشت.
نتیجه‌گیری: بازی‌های رایانه‌ای استفاده‌شده در این پژوهش که به‌عنوان بازی‌های هماهنگی چشم و دست معرفی شده است می‌تواند موجب بهبود توجه انتخابی و سرعت پردازش دیداری دانش‌آموزان ناشنوا گردد. این روش در کنار سایر مداخلات توانبخشی و آموزشی کودکان ناشنوا هم در مراکز و هم در خانه جهت بهبود توجه انتخابی و سرعت پردازش دیداری کودکان ناشنوا پیشنهاد می‌گردد.
