Abstract
Background and aim:
The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of short-term treatment based on quality of life and self-esteem of divorced women in Babol city.
Materials and Methods: The present study is a quasi-experimental, pre-test, post-test, and control group. The population of the study consisted of all divorced women referring to the welfare center in Babol city, which was 102 people. 34 people were selected by simple random sampling method and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Then World Health Organization Quality of Life questionnaires and Cooper Smith's self-esteem were performed as a pre-test for both groups. Short-term treatment of the axis solution was applied to the experimental group in 7 sessions. At the end of the course, both groups completed the above questionnaires as a post-test. Data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis.
Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference between the post-test mean in the experimental group and control in terms of quality of life and self-esteem. And short-term treatment of the solution based on two components of physical health and social relationships were more than other variables (p <0.001).
Conclusion: Considering the effectiveness of this treatment, it is suggested that in order to improve the quality of life and self-esteem in divorced women.
