Introduction: dysphoria is often associated with a person’s dissatisfaction with their physical appearance. An unfavorable physical appearance may lead to an unclear perception of gender identity. The mismatch between the gender experienced by an individual and the gender attributed to them in the community leads to the individual’s dissatisfactionThe present study aimed to investigate the effect of integrated psychotherapy on suicidal thoughts and self-compassion in people with gender dysphoria.
Methods: In this study, the statistical community included all people with gender dysphoria at the psychotherapy Intervention Center in Isfahan province in the winter of 1401 and was conducted on a semi-experimental basis. The statistical sample of the study consisted of 30 people, who were randomly assigned to two control groups (15 people) and training (15 people), and based on desktop and target-based sampling, the selected people received 8 90-minute sessions of integrated psychotherapy training. The Test team filled out all the questionnaires before and after. The research tool was the beck and steer suicidal thoughts questionnaire (1991) and the self-compassion questionnaire (2003) (short form).
Results: The data analysis was done using the covariance test using SPSS software. The results showed that integrated psychotherapy affects suicidal thoughts and self-compassion. Due to the specific psychological conditions of people with gender dysphoria, the impact of integrated psychotherapy on them is noticeable.  
Conclusions: In a summary, the use of an integrated psychotherapy approach is useful for reducing suicidal thoughts and increasing self-compassion.
