program be used in infertility treatment clinics along with other treatments for women Background & Objective: Since conception, the birth of a healthy child is the most important event in the life of every couple. However, an important factor called infertility hinders such happiness. Psychological stress caused by infertility can be attributed to various factors, including uncertainty about the cause of infertility and uncertainty about the duration of treatment. Tolerating ambiguity is one of the important factors in facing problems. Stubbornness is a personality trait that acts as a source of resilience when faced with stressful events. Hardy people involve themselves in life's activities, they believe they can influence events, and they see change as normal and growth-stimulating. Since trying to be fertile requires continuity, and to maintain continuity, the need to tolerate uncertainty, certainty, strength, stubbornness, stress management, increase awareness and focus more on mental health so that a person can fulfill his responsibilities in the best way. By achieving the goal of doing, therefore, strengthening the body and mind of women who suffer from infertility, to achieve the goal, they can be empowered psychologically. Therefore, this research was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of the psychological empowerment program focusing on tolerance of ambiguity based on the lived experiences of infertile women on psychological toughness. Method: In this research, a single case study technique of A-B single subject design was used. Among the women referred for infertility treatment, 3 infertile women who met the criteria for entering the study were selected by the available sampling method. In this research, Long and Goulet's Psychological Toughness Questionnaire (LGHS) was used. This questionnaire was created to measure psychological toughness by Long and Goulet in 2003, which has 42 questions. The questionnaire is graded separately using a 5-point Likert scale (1=completely agree to 5=completely disagree). Researchers have reported the validity and reliability of the questionnaire as favorable. Also, the program of psychological empowerment of infertile women was used, focusing on tolerance of ambiguity in the treatment process. Then, to measure the validity of the content of this program, it has been approved by 10 specialists and experts. These women received therapeutic content in 9 sessions of 45. For data analysis, visual review of graphs (upper and lower dependent variable), indicators of improvement percentage, diversity and effect size were used. Results: Findings: The findings of the present study showed that the psychological empowerment program centered on tolerance of ambiguity based on lived experience is effective in increasing the psychological toughness of infertile women. The results of the analysis showed that according to the scores of the psychological toughness questionnaire and through the program of visual activities, there has been improvement in all three components (control, commitment, and struggle). Also, it seems that the percentage of recovery of the third subject in the components of psychological toughness was higher than that of the second and first subjects. Conclusion: The results showed that the psychological empowerment program centered on tolerance of ambiguity based on lived experience is effective on the psychological toughness of infertile women. Therefore, it is suggested that the mentioned suffering from infertility.
