This study aimed to compare the efficacy of compassionate and cognitive behavioral therapy in anxiety sensitivity in patients with diabetes referred to Pasteur Hospital in Bam. The research method was causal comparative and quasi-experimental and pre-test, post-test. The statistical population of this study included all diabetic patients referred to Pasteur Shahrbom hospital was 152. The sampling method was purposive. From the statistical population, 45 participants were selected and randomly divided into three groups (15 in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy group, 15 in Compassion Therapy and 15 in control group). participants responded to the and anxiety sensitivity (1985)questionnaires, before and after training. Data were analyzed using covariance method and Tukey's post hoc test. The results showed that cognitive-behavioral compassion therapy and decreased anxiety sensitivity. Compassion therapy had more effect than cognitive-behavioral therapy, and retained its effect over time.
