 Background and purpose:  Divorce as a bitter and annoying experience has a negative impact on couples, families and society, this phenomenon has spread greatly in today's societies and has increased significantly in Iran as well, so that in Iran the ratio of divorce to marriage is very high compared to other countries in the world and ranks fourth in the world .marital relationship disturbance causes many problems for couples, Considering the consequences of divorce for couples as well as the role of relationships disturbance in increasing divorce, it is very important to use effective treatment approaches in conflicted couples, Among different treatment approaches, we can used of mindfulness based cognitive therapy and couple therapy based on schema. based on this, the aim of this research was to comparing the effectiveness of couple therapy with the schema approach and mindfulness based cognitive therapy on the relationship disturbance of divorced couples.
Method: The method of the current research was quasi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up period design. The statistical population of the research consisted of all the women facing divorce who refer to Avai Counseling and Psychology Center in Paveh city in 1400, of which 45 people were convenience sampling method entered the study and randomly placed the experimental group of schema-based couples therapy And 15 people were present in each group In collecting information, Screening scale for marital and relationship discord )Weishman & et al, 2009) was used. The experimental group mindfulness based cognitive therapy received the therapeutic package during 8 sessions of 90 minutes, Also The experimental group couple therapy with the schema approach received the therapeutic package during 10 sessions of 90 minutes, but control group did not receive any intervention during this period Data analysis was done with spss-24 software and with the statistical method of analysis of variance with repeated measures  and Significance level 0/05.
Findings: At the level of descriptive statistics, The mean and standard deviation of the relationships disturbance variable in experimental group mindfulness based cognitive therapy in stages pre-test (M= 32.00, SD= 2.87), Post-test (M= 23.00, SD= 4.37), follow-up (M= 23.12, SD= 4.20). The mean and standard deviation of the relationships disturbance variable in experimental group couple therapy with the schema approach in stages pre-test (M= 31.73, SD= 4.18), Post-test (M= 20.33, SD= 2.19), follow-up (M= 19.93, SD= 1.83). The mean and standard deviation of the relationships disturbance variable in control group in stages pre-test (M= 32.53, SD= 4.01), Post-test (M= 31.06, SD= 3.69), follow-up (M= 31.33, SD= 3.30).The results of data analysis showed that couple therapy with a schema approach had a significant effect on reducing relationship disturbance (p>0.001), The results of data analysis showed that mindfulness based cognitive therapy had a significant effect on reducing relationship disturbance (p>0.001), also between two groups of couple therapy with Schema approach and mindfulness based cognitive therapy, no significant difference was observed in the relationship disturbance variable.
Conclusion: The results of the present study indicated that couple therapy with a schema approach and mindfulness based cognitive therapy had a meaningful and equal result in reducing relationship disturbance in divorced women, so experts can use these two approaches to reduce the disturbance of relationships in these couples. mindfulness based cognitive therapy helps couples to be aware of their thoughts, beliefs and unpleasant feelings, their thoughts and feelings are not judged and evaluated in a negative way, and they are open in their marital relationships and have intimate relationships. enjoy yourself in the present, on the other hand, couple therapy with the schema therapy approach provides the possibility for couples to identify their incompatible schemas that prevent a healthy relationship, the impact of these schemas on their current life evaluated, using cognitive, experimental and behavioral techniques, it helps couples to replace incompatible behaviors with healthy and compatible behaviors and increase the quality of their marital relationship.
